Technology has become part of how we expect to manage all kinds of everyday things.
We can track a food delivery, check our bank balance from our phone and get a notification when something changes with our orders. Move home, and that same information does exist – you just don’t have access to it at ease.
Buying or selling a home is obviously more complicated than ordering a takeaway or checking your bank account. There are solicitors, estate agents, lenders and other parties involved, alongside legal checks and requirements that have to be completed before you can move. But complexity behind the scenes shouldn't have to mean confusion for the person moving home.
Good technology can give you a clearer view of what's happening and make it easier to access information when you need it.
We haven't built technology simply to call ourselves a digital conveyancer. We've built it because we believe the traditional home-moving experience can be made clearer and easier to follow.
And our Digital Conveyancing Maturity Index result is a useful sign that we're making progress towards that goal.
For me, though, the real measure will always be much simpler:
Does it make moving home feel better for the person doing the moving?
That's why every day, we're working towards making home moving simple, clear and fast.
